OVER/UNDER | Under 58.5 |
SPREAD/MONEYLINE | Louisville Cardinals -7.0 |
The Holiday Bowl odds favor the Louisville Cardinals in a major way, and that makes sense after checking out who USC will be missing in this matchup. Caleb Williams simply did way too much for the Trojans this season, and his absence is really going to be hurting this team.
Louisville shouldn’t have much trouble scoring points in this game, and that defense is catching a major break. Look for the Cardinals to have some long drives in this game, and that will keep the point total to under 59 points.
Taking the Cardinals to win and cover the seven-point spread is another top pick to make on this matchup.
Holiday Bowl Odds
There are a number of NCAAF picks to be made after checking out the Holiday Bowl odds on Wednesday night. The NCAAF odds for the spread currently has the Louisville Cardinals sitting at seven-point betting favorites.
You can also look at making an over/under pick when checking out this Holiday Bowl: Louisville Cardinals vs. USC Trojans matchup. That betting line is currently sitting at 58.5 total points, which is a pretty high number.

Betting Preview
Louisville Wants to Play Slow
For a good part of the season, it looked as if the Louisville Cardinals were going to stay near the top of the NCAAF standings. Louisville is still coming into this game with a record of 10-3, but things started to unravel for them a bit near the end of the season.
This Louisville roster is full of some talented players, but the Cardinals can’t afford to try and beat USC in a shootout in this matchup. Louisville averaged just 30.9 points per game this season, and they are not even close to as explosive as USC.
Quarterback Jack Plummer did have a huge season for the Cardinals, but his 12 interceptions are a bit of a concern. Louisville has the talent to score points in this game, but they need to do it by having some long drives to wear down USC.
Trojans Have to Defend
It was a rough finish to the season on the USC schedule, and this Trojans team wasn’t even playing some of the better teams in the league. USC just completely fell apart on the defensive side of the football this season, and not even Caleb Williams could bail them out.
Williams still led the Trojans to more than 41 points per game this season, but he is not going to be suiting up in this game. USC is also missing some other players due to NCAAF injuries, and it’s going to be up to the defense to set the tone.
That’s not usually something that USC does very well as this team is known for giving up huge plays and quick scores to opponents. The Trojans don’t have other options besides trying to get stops in this game, but they are facing a good Louisville team.
