It’s Christmas time! And NFL Week 16 will gift the possibility of playoff qualification to the league’s top teams.

We kick off on Thursday with a game as the New Orleans Saints head to the West Coast to play against the reigning 2022 NFL champions, the Los Angeles Rams.

On Saturday, at the same venue, SoFI Stadium, the other LA team, the Chargers, will face off against the Buffalo Bills.

For Sunday Night, or rather, Christmas Eve, in the chilly state of Colorado, the Denver Broncos will host the New England Patriots.

And on Christmas Day, there will be three games. At Arrowhead, the Kansas City Chiefs will welcome the Las Vegas Raiders. The Philadelphia Eagles will play against the New York Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers will host the Baltimore Ravens.

Much is at stake, but there are plenty of games to enjoy during the holidays, which could present the top teams with the Christmas gift of a playoff spot.

NFL Week 16 Thursday Night Football

On the Thursday Night before Christmas, there will be an exciting game on the West Coast.

At the SoFI Stadium, the Los Angeles Rams, champions of the NFL twice, will host the New Orleans Saints, who were crowned champions in 2010.

The head-to-head record between them, after 78 games since 1967, favors the Rams with 43 victories over the Saints’ 35.

As an additional fact, this will be the first game between them on a Thursday night.

NFL Week 16 Saturday Night Football

On the Saturday before Christmas Eve, the NFL will have action once again on the West Coast, and once again at the SoFI Stadium.

The other Los Angeles team, the Chargers, will host the Buffalo Bills. The head-to-head record between them since 1960 stands at 25 victories for the Californians, 13 for the New Yorkers, and two ties.

While both teams have played on a Saturday several times, six times to be exact, the last time they did so in the regular season was that 20-3 victory for the Chargers on October 23, 1971.

NFL Week 16 Sunday Night Football

It’s Christmas Eve, and the NFL will gift its fans a tremendous collision.

In the chilly city of Denver, Colorado, the Denver Broncos will host the New England Patriots at the Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday Night.

The head-to-head record between them since 1960 stands at 31 victories for the Colorado team against 23 for the Massachusetts team.

Regarding their games played in the month of December, it’s worth noting that it’s the first time they will play on December 24th, and it would be the ninth time they have met in the last month of the year. The balance is evenly matched, with four victories for each team.

NFL Week 16 Monday Night Football

Finally, it’s Christmas! And the NFL has tripled the Monday night action. Three extremely exciting games await, all with playoff implications.

The first one will be played at the champion’s home ground. At Arrowhead Stadium, the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Las Vegas Raiders in a rematch from Week 12. The pre-Thanksgiving balance stands at 72 victories for the Chiefs, 54 for the Raiders, and 2 ties.

The second one dates back to one of the most historic matchups in American football history. It’s none other than the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. They’ve been competing since 1933, with Philadelphia holding the advantage in 183 games, boasting 93 wins over New York’s 88, and two ties.

The third game, marking Monday Night, is a rematch of Super Bowl XLVII between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. It will be played on the West Coast at San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium. The head-to-head record between them is quite short, one of the shortest in NFL history. They’ve faced each other in 7 games, with the Ravens leading the series with 5 wins to the 49ers’ 2, including that Super Bowl showdown where Baltimore prevailed in New Orleans.
